It’s Been a Year!
They say in parenting the days are long but the years are short. And for anyone who has kids knows that this is so true - there are days when bedtime feels like it’s always three hours away - but before you know it, you’re planning your child’s fourth birthday party.
When Sheena and I started this blog and podcast a year ago, we had tried several different avenues to share our parenting and our teaching experience with others. We got pretty close to thinking we could open up a store and then COVID hit which took a toll on that dream (for the time being). And yes, there are many, many podcasts out in the world for parents to listen to, but for us, we had the thought, “Why not us? Why not start now?” Parenting is incredibly rewarding and incredibly challenging at the same time. Our goal was to create a platform where parents, and those even without kids, could listen and relate to two moms who don’t have it all figured out, but whose knowledge could provide support and fun for those days that seem to stretch on forever.
In the education world, Sheena and I were always creating, drafting, revising new goals for our students and ourselves. This podcast is no different! We still have great goals and aspirations for our future:
We hope to continue to be a piece of the “village” that helps parents raise good humans for our future world.
We have a goal to create more parenting handouts & activities for kids to reinforce skills.
Another goal is to continue to share our personal and professional knowledge on our podcast, blog, and social media.
We are truly grateful for the guests we have had on our podcast, who have been open to share their stories. We hope to have more guests on this next year!
Thank you for your support over this past year! We look forward to what the next year has to bring!
